Handcrafted Process

Each bag and clutch is handcrafted by expert artisans, using natural palm worked with a pre-Columbian technique that has been passed down

The weaving is done carefully piece by piece, respecting traditional times and methods that guarantee quality, strength and authenticity in each creation.

The pieces that incorporate color go through an additional artisanal process , where the palm is heated in water and carefully dyed with aniline dyes , achieving vibrant and long-lasting tones without losing the natural texture of the material.

The production time for a single wallet is approximately 4 to 5 days , depending on the complexity of the design and the workload of the artisan workshop, which makes each piece a unique and limited-production object.

The bags come in three main styles :

Clutches can also be used as crossbody bags , offering versatility, comfort and style without losing their artisanal essence.

Each piece is the result of patience, ancestral knowledge and love for the craft, reflecting cultural identity and the value of handmade work.

¿Qué materiales utilizas para crear tus piezas?

For creating my pieces in my workshop, I use a variety of materials such as acrylic paints, sealers, threads of different textures, colors, and compositions, and gold, silver, and bronze leaf.

I use tracing paper to draw the patterns (by hand) for the different designs I've created for my collections.

¿Cómo es el proceso de elaboración de una pieza?

The production process varies for each piece depending on the design and collection. First, the leaves are hand-painted (using three different shades of gold acrylic paint) on special paper, which is then adhered to the finished palm bag with a special sealant. This step requires great care, patience, and attention to detail.
Next, thread is sewn around the entire edge of the bag, and the hanging threads are made and sewn at the ends on both sides.

¿Cuánto tiempo tarda en hacerse una pieza?

For example, a medium-sized tote bag from the PALMS collection takes me about 3-4 days to finish. But most bags take about the same amount of time.

¿Qué es lo más difícil o especial de tu trabajo?

What's most special about my work is that they're my own designs. I personally select the colors, tones, and textures of all the materials involved in the creative process.

For me, making Plassha is about connecting with myself, with my roots; it's a way to honor my ancestors.
